Boston Public Radio: “No Preference” voters overtake discussion of Super Tuesday

Clip of Boston Public Radio segment with Pao from Somerville explaining why voting “No Preference” is important, with hosts Jim Braude and Margery Eagan. https://www.instagram.com/p/C4GmRnqOBHY/

Jim: “We are discussing Super Tuesday, but this has evolved into a discussion really of one topic: Joe Biden's handling of the situation in Gaza. Which is fine. Many people we've heard from are voting no preference tomorrow in the primary in Massachusetts, rather than for Joe Biden to make their voice heard.

“I think I'm up to maybe 50 or 60, “NO PREFERENCE” texts by now. Pao in Somerville, Thank you for calling.”

Pao: “Hi, I'm calling like many others to encourage people to vote NO PREFERENCE.

Many people think it's a throwaway vote. It's not a throwaway vote. It means that we'll get to send delegates to the convention who will push for a ceasefire.

We even saw Kamala Harris call for a temporary ceasefire. Yeah, I really think that's because of the community action that we saw in Michigan. Kamala and Biden are seeing that we are not going to vote for them if they continue to support genocide.

I don't want to encourage that defeatist behavior of ‘We don't have enough people, we don't have enough voices’, because we are the people, we are the voices.

Ask your friends, ask your family, go to votenopreferencema.org and get involved.”

Jim: “Thanks for the call, Pao.”
